Imagine your child not being able to open their Christmas gifts in the living room on Christmas morning.  Instead, it's by a hospital bedside.

That's why High Country Lights has teamed up Atrium Health Levine Children's, Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist AirCare, to provide "Gifts for Kids" who are in the hospital during the holiday's, code named: Project St. Nick.

Project St. Nick provides an unforgettable and unique experience - both in Galax and Winston-Salem.  Raffle tickets are being sold for a chance to welcome Santa to Galax after he flies into Felts Park by Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist AirCare helicopter, November 29th, weather permitting.  The winning ticket will also receive a free 6-7 foot tall real Christmas tree from Edwards Family Farms Choose & Cut in Alleghany County, and a gift basket full of goodies.

Tickets are available for $5 each with sales ending Tuesday, November 25th. The drawing will be held later that evening on the High Country Lights Facebook page. The winning ticket holder will have 24 hours to contact us.  If no contact is made, another ticket will be drawn in their place.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to purchase gifts for children who are hospitalized during the holiday's.  Monetary donations will be accepted as well.

Tickets can be purchased at Sparta Florist, The Personal Touch Florist in Galax, Galax Recreation Center, Ratledge Florist in Elkin, Mount Airy Florist, and Alleghany Meat Center

Then, Santa will deliver those gifts to Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem before Christmas, courtesy of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist AirCare.  Children in the hospital will be able to see him land on the helipad, jump out with a bag full of goodies, and deliver to their room.

Let's make a difference in their lives by showing kindness, love and support.
